Used in: In all shelters from lighter K protection class shelters to heavier S6 protection class bedrock shelters, where they are installed in the walls of the shelters.
Purpose of Use: Choosing a door and a hatch that are type approved and designed for the particular purpose makes it possible to sustain overpressure in the shelter and secure its gas-tightness. Additionally, the door and the hatch protect the shelter from both outside pressure and blasts as well as shrapnel effects.
Specification: Shelter doors and hatches are controlled by the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and they meet the requirements of the Finnish Ministry of the Interior.
Used in: In K and S1 protection class shelters, where they are installed in the shelter’s walls. The inlets can also be used in the gas-tight walls of the air vents in the S1, S3 and S6 protection class bedrock shelters, and the S3 protection class shelters that are made of reinforced concrete.
Purpose of Use: With suitable inlets and clamping devices the shelter can be secured for overpressure and made gas-tight. Inlets also protect the shelter from outside pressure and blasts as well as shrapnel effects.
Purpose of Use: Power inlets are designed to correspond to the shelter’s purpose during times of both crisis and peace.
